I had several dream snippets last night, the first being I was riding a cross country course. My horse was fast, but was missing most of the jumps (if it had been real life, I would have been disqualified in minutes). It was an odd ride, the horse went into the water scrambling over the obstacles, in the water (they were pretty much submerged).
Then the dream shifted, and I was in a car with a man, who had a collie on the seat next to him. Mum was in the back. The collie is injured by trying to leave through the open door while the car is in motion. The man stops the car and examines the dog, which has a bloody paw. We bandage it and decide to take him to the vet.
We end up Driving again. I am sitting next to the guy, holding the collie. I am looking forward when I hear a thud. I look right to see no driver. I climb over the gear stick and take over driving the van we are now in. I see him head dragging on the road, he’s done the same thing the dog has accidentally. I help mum to pull him up and in, at speed as I can’t find the breaks, or they aren’t working. He is (probably for the best) unconscious. We strap him to the passenger, and I put a seatbelt on so I don’t do what he did (not that I know how he did what he did. I change direction, and drive up the hill past the doctors to get up onto Blackpool Road in Preston from the docks, planning to take him to the hospital. The car is very difficult to control without breaks. I use the hills incline to slow and stop us, which happens right at the lights of the junction. We look at the layout of the van and see that the seat is in the wrong position to access the breaks properly. It takes a lot of time to adjust the seat to get it right
